Lucknow Branch of CIRC of ICAI was formally notified w.e.f. 16.7.1980 and inaugurated by the then president of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India Dr. V. Rajaraman on . The Inaugural Function was held in the auditorium of the Institute of , Lucknow . The first Managing committee as nominated by The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, which consisted of Shri B. B. Jindal, Shri R.C.Ganguly, Shri Rajesh C . Jain, Shri Subhash Tuli, Shri Ashok Seth & Shri Shyam Lal. Shri B.B. Jindal became the first Chairman of the Branch. The office of the branch was opened at Reid Hall , Lucknow , Golaganj, Lucknow .

Building

It was on during the felicitation meeting for the then President Shri A.C Chakraborty that the idea of having own building of the branch was mooted by late Dr. I.B. Sinha and the same was adopted in the A.G.M of the branch held on 14^th june 1985 in which Late Dr. I.B Sinha first contributed for the building fund which was followed by some other member also. During 1985-1986 during the chairmanship of  Shri Ashok Seth that  733.43 at Gomti Nagar was purchased from Lucknow Development Authority and on the foundation stone of the building was laid by then President Shri R. Balakrishnan during the tenure of Shri S.K Agarwal as Chairman of the branch.

Auditorium

During 2006 fully Air Conditioned auditorium was constructed on second floor with seating capacity of more than 300 persons, which was inaugurated by the then President of the Institute CA. T.N Manoharan.

Fire Escape & Renewation

During 2012 Fire Escape was constructed at branch  premises. both the floor of the building . Renewation of auditorium and branch building was done during this year.

Coaching Classes

On , Branch received the status of accreditation institution to hold coaching classes for the students. The coaching classes for the CPT, PCE, PE-1, PE-2, and final are going on regularly in the Premises of the Branch. The branch was also declared as accredited Institute to hold Classes. The Contribution of CA. R.P.Gupta will always be cherished for enabling coaching at the branch.

Information Training for Students

In the year 2007, the long standing need of the own IT Lab was taken up and completed under the Chairmanship of CA.Pankaj Bhargava  and was established on the first Floor of the Branch initially with the seating capacity of 30 students. Lucknow Branch was among the first few branches to start the IT Training Modules at the Branch, which were hitherto being managed by the private institutions and have certified about 2600 students till date.

Orientation Programme for Students

During the year 2009, Branch had started organizing the 35 hours Orientation Programme for the IPCC Students on every month under the Supervision and monitoring of CA. Sanjeev Verma. Up to this time around 1000 students have undergone training under IPCC Orientation Programme.

Sports

During 2012 first ever T20 Regional  Cricket Tournament was held at Lucknow Branch from 18th November 2012 to 22nd November 2012 where 8 teams from Different cities participated. Dignitaries who graced the occassion include Shri Abhishek Mishra (Minister of Protocol, Govt. of Uttar Pradesh) & Shri. Dinesh Sharma (Mayor,Lucknow) 

Visit of Chief Minister of U.P Shri. Akhilesh Yadav Ji

In the  2 days IInd National Convention for CA Students held at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan was inaugrated by the honourable Chief Minister of U.P Shri. Akhilesh Yadav Ji more than 1000 students from various cities participated in the event.
